Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian’s sculptur restoration

This art work is created by Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, one of the most famous Iranian artists, She studied fine art in Iran and then moved to the USA and studied at Cornell University, at Parsons The New School for Design, where she majored in fashion illustration, and at the Art Students League of New York, her works consider as minimal geometric and she used the old geometrical patterns of Islamic art, her works are made of mirror mosaics shaped in geometrical minimal forms, This art work is from “mirror ball” series which has missed pieces, we first made the mirror mosaics shaped as the original pattern then installed them in the missing area. 

  

This art work is restorate and conservate at Avam restoration and conservation atolier.
