The Iranian painter Ahmad Esfandiari’s restoration

This painting is a work by Ahmad Esfandiari (1922-2013 Tehran), which is painted by oil color on canvas there isn’t any specific date on the painting but according to his painting periods it might belong to the late 1950s, Esfandiari is one of the main characters in Iranian modern painting who lived last from the first generation of Iranian modern painters movement, He was born in Tehran and his father was a relative to Iranian famous poet Nima Youshij and both his parents were artists his father practiced singing and calligraphy and his mother playing violin with great Iranian musician masters. He first studied painting with Kamal-ol-molk (Iranian master painter) and then studied at Tehran university of fine arts.

This painting's main problem is desolation and abrasion of paint layer as well as small tatter which is caused by age and bad keeping situation. In This case, first, we treated the tatter by bridging, Then prime it and retouch.

This art work is restorate and conservate at Avam restoration and conservation atolier.
